Acer debuts 3D laptop

According to Geek.com, Acer’s newest laptop (Acer Aspire 5738PG) gives you 3D the palpable way. It isn’t simply a machine for gamers; it’s as three dimensional as any Imax movie. Acer brings us its 3D capable Aspire, with the 57E8PG that uses LCD technology, some specialized polarized screen coatings, a bit of conversion software, and those ever-silly 3D glasses we all remember so well from our childhoods.
The special 3D film holds to the screen from pixel to pixel, making it possible for the LCD to deliver a positive 3D feast. The name of the software is TriDef 3D Experience. The name does not only promise to have the highest definition, but the most extreme dimension.

Just think about what Left 4 Dead or WoW would be like on a 3D capable laptop. By bringing your favorite games and movies to life, you get to experience your computer in 3D and share what it’s like with your family and friends. Already great games are made better, and already wonderful movies truly made a part of your home.

While this is not a necessary part of gaming or movie-watching, it would definitely add to the experience in a positive way.
