To install Windows XP on Dell Inspiron 1525 first the configuration and model number should be noted down. Windows XP Licensed CD/DVD and Drivers CD/DVD should be taken. However people should be aware of Laptop hacks.

After that back up of the data should be taken on an external Hard Disk from C and D Drive in order prevent any laptop Hacks.

Windows XP CD in CD Drive should be inserted and system should be restarted. Next the system should be booted from CD and F12 key should be pressed after the system gets restarted. However after pressing F12 key system would ask the permission to boot from series by selecting the up and down arrow, where the sequence as boot from CD drive is required to be selected
